Cheers, the weekend is here. Kick it off with cider in hand on the beautiful Castle Hill grounds. Our 600 acres are the perfect retreat, so gather your family (yes, we’re kid-friendly!) and friends to join us for live music and a local food truck on the second and fourth Fridays throughout the summer.
New this year: we will be partnering with charitable organizations for each instance of Friday Cheers, and donating 10% of cider sales during the times of the event. Plus, the organization will be on hand with information so you can learn more about the great work they do for our community. Our partner for May 24th is AHIP.
Friday, May 24th

Live Music by Greg Howard + Peyton Tochterman
6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Peyton Tochterman is a singer, guitarist and songsmith. He writes about what's real, with humor, honesty and grace. Together with Chapman Stick maestro Greg Howard, who simultaneously plays bass and lead on this amazing stringed instrument, they sound like a whole band, playing a mix of originals and fun interpretations of familiar rock songs.
About AHIP - Albemarle Housing Improvement Program
AHIP believes that everyone should be safe at home. We work year-round to provide emergency repairs, home rehabs, and energy-efficiency upgrades to families in Charlottesville and Albemarle County. Our mission is to ensure safe, affordable homes for our neighbors in need.
To get the job done, we work with a spectrum of community partners, including local governments, peer housing organizations, social services agencies, regional funders, a wide variety of volunteer groups, and donors. Together, we improve homes, preserve families’ assets, revitalize neighborhoods, and protect our local affordable housing stock.
